An amazing atmosphere!

So much preparation and increasing excitement to get ready for our first camp in 2019 …. And then it happened! An incredible weekend, in so many ways!

Only God could have orchestrated the unity and connectiveness of the leaders, total strangers before camp - it was awesome to work with these caring, dedicated and talented God-followers.

Our cooks, Franz and Heidi did an amazing job providing delicious, nutritious food, and plenty of it! Their servant-heart attitude and obvious love for the teens spoke volumes.

Gamaliel led us in heart-changing messages in song, along with other encouraging full-involvement activities. Alexis gave simple. clear and powerful talks on being transformed by the Spirit of God into the image of His Son.

Powerful moments included teens praying for each other, and exploring the Bible in devotional times with our counsellors Carlos and Lily.   

There was an abundance of water activities because it was around 36 degrees in the shade!

The games involved lots of teamwork and challenges, including poison pole, wipeout and round-ball rugby.

The hottest time of the day was for shade-related activities – drinking tereré, making string bracelets and thawing out frozen T-shirts with your bare hands!!!

We are so thankful to our Father for enabling this whole project to become a reality; for holding off the rain, for providing the right team to work with, for bringing the exact number of campers we had asked for, for moving through his Spirit in their lives, transforming them and giving them a new hope!  The whole atmosphere of camp was amazingly awesome!!!
