What We Do
Building a better world for children.
We live in rural Paraguay, a developing nation in South America, and work with children and youth.
We utilize our Multi-Educational Centre for a variety of activities to help us empower and reach our community.
Educational & Literacy Classes
Skills Workshops
Kids & Teen Camps
Oasis Retreats
“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.”
Francisco’s leadership and people skills combine with Joanna’s organisational and teaching abilities, and we work as a team in our Educational Centre, an excellent, safe environment where children and young people come to develop skills, cultivate friendships and learn new things. At the Centre everyone is treated with the dignity they deserve as a person, and they are taught how their lives can be transformed by God’s love.
“Change is the end result of all true learning”
The educational & literacy classes teach the local kids how to read, think and reason – empowering them towards a better future. The Centre provides a safe place to develop their learning, teaching critical thinking skills, self confidence and personal habits that will better prepare them for future study and job opportunities.
We also hold workshops where teens can learn helpful and hands-on skills and tools to help them be more independent as well as knowledgeable. These workshops include cooking, baking, painting & maintenance, first aid, sports, music, woodwork, handcrafts, sewing, art and more!
The teen club activities and camps take youth a step further in a dynamic, holistic and restorative environment – challenging them to follow Jesus.
“It is also a victory to know when to retreat.”
We also operate and manage the
“Oasis Centre”
a place where those who need to take “time out” can come to rest and renew.
This provides highly needed rest and care for cross-cultural workers in Paraguay. A family involved in ministry can retreat into the beautiful and peaceful surroundings of the Oasis Centre with amenities and activities for all ages, giving them a chance to hit the refresh button, rest and get some quality family time.
